Spring is finally here and that involves finding the right spring date ideas for you and your partner! Spring date ideas need to be renewable on the change of seasons and finally slip off the winter coats and into something a little cooler! If you are going to the beach for a picnic or a ball game, spring is the time to really go outside and enjoy the good weather – especially the smells!
1. PICKING STRAWBERRIES
If you really want to go in mid-June, picking strawberries is one of the best spring date ideas! I love strawberries which are immediately the vine, they taste super sweet and you can do so much with them! Blueberries are also a great fruit to choose in the spring!
2. BOAT TRIPS
While you might have to plan this for a later date in spring, when things heat up, take a boat ride to the big spring date! Pedal boats are some of my favorite boats and this activity can get you the whole exercise in the world! So head to the lake and boat rental. What makes a fantastic date afternoon idea!
3. PREPARE A GARDEN TOGETHER
Now, if you’ve been with your partner for a while, why not commit to finally planting this garden together? You could make one indoors or you could look for a piece of land in your yard or their yard. A garden can also be a great bonding experience, but remember, it’s a commitment!
4. MINI GOLF
I love this awesome date idea! It’s a little competitive, a little different and there are all kinds of fun! Who knows, maybe you can head to a really tough course and you can bet on it! Thereafter? Maybe an outdoor meal or ice cream! This is seriously the traditional, awesome spring date idea! I like the fact that this date also has some competition behind it. It’s just a friendly competition, however, don’t forget that!
5. PICNIC BEACH
If it’s warm enough, a beach picnic is a great idea to do during the spring months! The beach isn’t usually packed, the water can be cold, but the temperatures aren’t nearly as hot as summer. All in all, this is a fantastic spring date idea! So go grab a picnic basket, a blanket and maybe some light jackets if it’s too cold and have a picnic on the beach!
6. OUTDOOR RESTAURANTS
Are you an always-go-out-at-dinner type of couple? Why not try a few restaurants that have outdoor restaurants so that you can still enjoy it all the time but still be able to eat out? It’s totally one of my favorite summer dates too – I love to eat out!
7. BALL GAME
Finally, no list of spring date ideas would be complete without a ball game added to the list! I love going to ball game and snuggling together! Whether your team wins or loses, it doesn’t matter as long as the two of you are together!
8. NATURE WALK
Where is the perfect place to see spring in your location? Find where those flowers are blooming, and plan a romantic stroll through that park or nature setting.
9. ATTEND A SPRING FESTIVAL
Every city has a different version of one, but almost all have one. Check out music, spring festivals, or community events for details of festivals in your area.
10. MOVIE SPRING DATE IN THE BACKYARD
It just takes a laptop, some blankets, and a few treats for a really fun night!
11. GO ON A SPONTANEOUS DAY OR NIGHT TRIP
The fact that this is completely unplanned is what is going to make this spring date exciting. Tell him, let’s do something spontaneous and unique and just come up with a quick destination, hop in the car, and set out for the open road.
12. VISIT A FARMER’S MARKET
This is a great SPRING date idea. The smell of fresh country air along with fresh fruits and vegetables, can be a nice break from the crowded city life, and a lot cheaper on the wallet.
13. DRIVE UP TO THE HIGHEST POINT IN YOUR CITY
This is super cute and adorable spring date idea! Enjoy the night together at the highest point in your city. It would be more adorable if you grab your favorite snack and bring it on your date.
14. GO ON A LONG OR SHORT HIKE
Hiking trails may take many different turns and it could be interesting if you were to “get lost”, but not in the literal sense. It’s going to be fun because it will allow you both to have plenty of time together while figuring out how to get back on the main trail. Additionally, most trails are less busy during spring than summer and you’ll get to spot some wildlife making appearances.
15. GET ICE CREAM
Sometimes the simple things can mean a lot and the simple spring date like a quick trip to get some of your favorite ice cream is worth having.
16. SPRING DATE BARBECUE PLAN
Plan a spring grilling party, design a spring menu, while enjoying the backyard party. Check out the parks that have charcoal grills if you aren’t lucky enough to own your own.
17. PLAY MINIATURE GOLF
This is a leisurely game where you two can talk and get a bit competitive with each other. This is a fun spring date idea where you spend the day knowing your partners competitiveness style. But remember not to take it very seriously.
18. COOK A NEW MEAL TOGETHER
Challenge each other to cook something new that you haven’t tried before. This can be fun and exciting as you both is challenging to cook something new for the spring season.
19. BUILD A BONFIRE AND TOAST MARSHMALLOWS.
Sitting and relaxing around a crackling fire is so peaceful and a perfect moment together while having fun. Not to mention, it’s romantic. So bring the spring season into a more romantic date with your sweetie.
20. GO TO A DRIVE-IN MOVIE CINEMA
Several parks, community, and outdoor malls host a free movies in the park during late spring months. This can be intimate and romantic, as you will be both in the privacy of your car and no need to wait in line or worry about finding a seat.
21. GO TO AN OLD BOOKSTORE OR LIBRARY
Have fun with the charms of old books and talk about the stories that mean the most to you. This is fun, especially if both of you are a book lover.
22. GO ON A DAY CAMPING TRIP
Mini camping spring dates can be exciting. It’s going to be fun and give you a taste of what a real camping trip with your sweetie would be like.
23. DO A NEW WORKOUT TOGETHER
If you are both into fitness, then this is a great spring date idea as each of you will have your different fitness routines. You can both try to do a program together and see how much fun it can be. There is nothing wrong with a bit of healthy competition.
25. GO FOR A NIGHT TIME WALK
Simply just go for a night walk around your neighborhood with your sweetie or any nice scenic paths near your area. While walking around, you may see something interesting and fun to talk about together. Enjoy the fresh spring air while walking.
26. GO TO A SPRING SPORTING EVENT
If you both loves sports, then this is a great spring date idea. If you don’t know much about sports, then this is the perfect way to start a great conversation because you can have your partner explain about what is going on.
27. GO TO A PLACE THAT IS HOSTING A SPRING BINGO NIGHT
Don’t like the atmosphere of a loud outdoor sports competition? Try a quieter and less noisy game like bingo. Many towns host games like these.
28. VOLUNTEER SOMEWHERE
Volunteering is such a memorable act of kindness that you two will surely never forget. This is a perfect spring date idea because you are helping others while helping yourself capture each other’s heart.
