Do not lose hope. Happiness is undoubtedly beyond the sorrows and pains that overwhelm you today. You have to move on. You must try.
I know very well that there are days when you just want to let go. Days when we wonder where we will find the strength, we are so exhausted. Days when we want to burst into tears, knowing that we shouldn’t. Days when you just don’t know what to do.
Days when darkness seems to have completely overcome the light.
But you take it upon yourself. You smile and go on, as if all is well. You help others, without even thinking that you too could ask them for help. You continue to exercise your kindness without even thinking of asking for the same favor in return.
You don’t want to look weak.
You don’t want to become a burden or a black spot in the lives of others. You don’t want to be a source of negativity or someone to console.
So you smile again and continue, slowly. But the only thing you want to do is implode and scream at the top of your lungs. You want to crack and let yourself go.
It is as if every day brings its share of misfortunes, as if every day was insurmountable. You feel like it’s endless and nothing good will ever come. You wake up and just want to sit there lying down and doing nothing else.
You have responsibilities, but just want to run away from them. You have things to do, but just want to give up.
You want to move on, but you no longer have hope because life seems so uncertain.
Faith has deserted you.
I don’t know your life and I have no idea what you’re really going through. Perhaps you are on the verge of depression. Perhaps you have problems at work or at school.
Perhaps your family or romantic relationships have become too difficult to manage. Maybe it’s just a whole. But everything seems to fall apart and you don’t know what to do.
Maybe every time you’re on the brink of success, something goes wrong and throws you into the 36th. Perhaps you overcome by a feeling of permanent failure.
I know you’re fed up.
I know you are exhausted, both psychologically and physically. I know that the demands of others drain your energy.
People ask you a lot and it’s not your habit to let them down. You never disappoint them. You bend over backwards to satisfy people who sometimes don’t even bother to thank you. And that requires strength.
But I want to thank you on behalf of all those who forget to do so.
I want to show you my support, on behalf of all those who neglect to do so and who are unable to understand what you are going through. You give the impression of getting there with flying colors and that is why people do not see and understand what you are going through.
But I am so proud of the strength you have shown. This force which is born only from our silent battles, from those that we fight without anyone noticing. This force is born only by tears which we repress and which we stifle. It is born only from those long lonely nights spent wondering what awaits us next.
But these questions are a good thing. This feeling of dissatisfaction is a good thing. They tell you that the best is yet to come and that the status quo in which you are today no longer suits you.
Your discomfort is also a good thing.
It signals to you that you are growing and evolving .
Maybe your current situation marks your limits. You have done your best and you need to move on. You have risen as high as you can. And this is something you should be proud of.
You have to move on. You must try. You have to keep working. Do not lose hope.
Because at the end of these moments when you want to flee and give up, often comes a reward.
You know what they say: “the light is at the end of the tunnel”., I recognize it but yet, we couldn’t be closer to the truth.
Happiness is undoubtedly beyond the sorrows and pains that overwhelm you today.
You just have to take the plunge and move on. You are not alone. I accompany you and me and others and I swear that everything will be fine. Things will end up getting better, that’s for sure.
